There's a lot of them out there and not all of them make sense. If you're a babe who is sick of googling words every time you read a product label, keep reading.
Exfoliating
The process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Your skin naturally sheds dead skin cells can linger in your pores and on your skin. This can results in dry, flaky patches, clogged pores, and unhappy babes.
Exfoliating cleans up the excess and can be done physically with a scrub, exfoliating mask or chemically with AHAs + BHAs.
Products recommendation for exfoliating: Scrub-a-dub-dub Kit for body & Absolute Pink Face Mask for face.
Detoxifying
To put it simply detoxifying means removing impurities from the skin: dirt, sweat, excess oil, bacteria. These can come from the environment, our diet, and lifestyle choices (ahem: sleeping with your make-up on). Detoxifying removes things that shouldn't be there and gives your skin a fresh start.
Products recommendation for exfoliating: Matcha Detox Kit for face and body.
Non-Comedogenics
A product or ingredient that is formulated to not clog pores. Our products are non-comedogenics.
Free Radicals
These are the bad guys that make their way into skin cells & cause dullness, blemishes & premature ageing. They can come from things like pollution and
sunlight. Wear protection, babe.
Active Ingredients
Simply, active ingredients mean they will do what they say they will. For example, a babe will buy a mask to help unclog her pores. The active ingredient in the mask dissolves the oil in her pores. Her pores are now unclogged. The end.
